Connect today announced the launch of
PeoplePoint, an off-the-shelf intranet
solution which helps organisations
optimise their business processes in
order to control costs and make
greater efficiency savings.
PeoplePoint is built on Connect’s
proven content management platform,
ConnectCMS, which gives business users
complete control over the structure
and content of their intranet, leaving
technical staff free to concentrate on
more complex projects.
The product also features an
integrated suite of intuitive
applications which pull real-time data
from the everyday processes of the
business and make it available to
staff throughout the organisation,
reducing the amount of time spent on
routine tasks and improving internal
communication.
PeoplePoint is currently being
implemented by both Trafford Housing
Trust and Knowsley Housing Trust as a
hosted managed service from Connect.
Lesley Buckels, Head of Business
Support at Trafford Housing Trust
explained: “Following the emergence of
Trafford Housing Trust in March 2005,
we were keen to implement a time and
attendance solution that would support
our flexible working policy. We
considered several packages but none
of them fully satisfied our
requirements.
“The Trust was already working in
partnership with Connect on other
projects when they told us about
PeoplePoint and its in-built time and
attendance application. We had a look
at the product and were impressed by
the extent of its functionality and
also by the fact that the Time and
Attendance Manager could be configured
to meet our exact needs. Connect is
currently working with us through a
phased implementation of PeoplePoint
and completion is due in early 2006.”
